1 year and 9 months natural

HEEEY there!

At the beginning of October, I took my hair extensions (which I have previously done a post on Here) out and decided to have my natural hair out to college. 

Now this was a massive decision for me as usually I don't like my natural hair out, mostly because of the looks I receive from people and because I found it to be at such an awkward length when I last had it out.

However, this time around I have absolutely loved loved loved having my natural hair out.

 One guy said to me "So that's all your hair?" and I flicked it, well I tried but it didn't really moved haha and said YES! 

My hair has grown, I can't believe how far its come. I feel like it is my baby and I'm looking after it, watching it grow, I'm probably sounding a bit crazy but its true. 

So here's me at 1 year and 9 moths natural!

By the 11th of August, I will be 1 year and 6 months natural!

Just a quick post about what I wore to college the other day!

I adore the colour of this long sleeve jumper dress so much. I bought it with an H&M gift card that a friend gave me for my birthday. I love that it looks like it has a snood attached to it as well.

I love the juxtaposition of the forest green jumper and burgundy socks which both seem to be stable colours for this autumn and winter. Can I just say that these are the cosiest socks I have ever owned! I also have to mention that I do have tights underneath my leggings because it is freezing outside.

Today I bought 27 candy canes to put into my Christmas card. I cannot wait to write my cards.

You'll never guess who's 10 months natural?

I'm going to be 10 months natural on the 11th but I thought I'd just do this post now as I won't have time during the week. 

There are a few (and then some) pictures below of my hair.

I have been using Cantu shea butter leave in conditioner, ApHogee Leave-in Conditioner and Care Free Curl Gold on my hair for the past 2/3 months. Also, TRESemme shampoo and V05 conditioner. These products all smell so nice.

I can't believe how much my hair has grown! I remember when I first cut it and thought it would take so long but I must admit, these 10 months have flown by!

I have gotten a few looks at college as if to say "Does she know her hair looks like that?" and once my dad told me (with no warning or hesitation)  that my hair looked like I hadn't finished it so I had to explain to him that it was natural haha

OOTD | All about Navy

Afternoon! 

Wanted to share with you what I wore to church today. Apologies for the quality of these pictures, I can't seem to find ANYWHERE in my house that has good lighting for me to take pictures and its way too cold outside for me to stand there attempting (and failing) to do my Tyra Banks poses. 

My jeans are from Dorothy Perkins, they're doing a sale of up to 30% off everything allowing me to get them for £17.50 instead of £25!

 It was my birthday yesterday so a few of my friends came round to stay over and we watched Think Like A Man (I've watched it 3 times now) played some games, eat junk food and most importantly, laughed a whole lot! CHEESE ALERT -  I just loved having the people I love around me as I started a new chapter in my life.

Also, I went on google.com and it said 'Happy Birthday Tosin'. My friends and I were so freaked out until we realized I was logged into my google account. It was nice to feel important for a moment though *sigh* haha

8 months natural baby!

Hello, who enjoyed their extra hour of sleep this morning?

My question is, when the clocks go back at 2am and it becomes 1am, does whatever that happened in that hour not count? Did that hour really happen?... 

 I'm now 8 months natural! I did a post on my 6 months update which you can read HERE

I took my braids out 2 days ago. When I washed my hair, every time I looked at my hands, shed loads of it was coming out (pardon the pun) and I was disappointed because I thought I wouldn't see any growth.

 However, in the end it looked okay and it did grow, thankfully.

Here are some pictures of how it looks styled featuring my sister.

I flat twisted my hair last night and took it out this morning which is why it's so curly.

My Natural Hair.

GOOD DAY MATE.

(Going for an Australasian accent today yana) 

Did you know you can't say "good eye might" without sounding Australian?

Gonna write about my natural hurr now :) 

Going natural means that I don't relax my hair anymore, I just let it grow. Naturally. Pardon the pun ;)

I cut my hair on the 11th of February 2012, and when it was cut by the person who does my hair, I didn't intend on going natural, my hair was just an eyesore;it was long as the back, short in the middle, long at the front, short at the sides and I was just like is this life?  and it was time to say ba-bye to my Rapunzel locks. A bit of an exaggeration  
During the period of having my extensions in, my sister was obsessed with being natural, people who were natural and she would point out every natural person we saw therefore she said suggested I should go natural and I did so. :)

Now it's July 2nd 2012 so i've been natural for almost 5 months now and this is what my hair looks like! 

Honestly when I first got my hair cut, I didn't like it. It was too short for me to handle. The good thing about being natural is that you can still put your hair in braids or a closed weave(if you leave your natural hair out and add too much heat to it, it could be damaged) so when it's full and long and flowing, people are like WOW.*if they don't say that, make 'em*

Natural hair does need a lot of TLC. It needs to be looked after well because there's no point being natural if it's not but it's definitely worth it!

I'm learning myself about being natural. There are a lot of very good youtube videos about how to style, take care of and wash natural hair. 

I'm getting my hair done today, in a style of long braids, by the time I take it out I'll be 6 months natural!
